Home Remedies For Healthy Hair: How To Make Flaxseed Gel Yourself

For many people, ground flaxseed is part of a healthy diet. But the small grains are also perfect for the hair. You can easily make a natural care product out of them.

Flaxseeds are essential as part of a healthy diet because, in addition to fiber, they also contain many B vitamins and omega-3 fatty acids.

This turns the seeds into an absolute powerhouse for the stomach, intestines, immune system, and heart. But that’s not all! Flaxseed can also be a perfect conditioner for your hair. With the small grains, a highly effective flaxseed gel can be produced that is a real treat for your hair,

You can make the gel yourself that easily.

That’s Why Flaxseed Is So Good For Your Hair

The ingredients of the linseed are a comprehensive care treatment for stressed hair – but a healthy mane also benefits from it.

First of all, flaxseed is an excellent moisturizer – this makes the hair fuller and is suitable for the cuticle, which is the layer of skin surrounding the actual hair.

Omega-3 fatty acids strengthen hair, improve elasticity and prevent the scalp from drying out. And B vitamins are not only internally healthy for the body, but they also give the hair an incredible shine.

Here’s How To Make Flaxseed Gel

The preparation of the flaxseed gel is absolutely no rocket science. You can also be sure that you will receive a natural product without synthetic additives in the end.

For a care pack – which of course, also depends on the length of your hair – you only need 30 grams of flaxseed and 250 milliliters of water.

The flaxseeds are heated in a pot with water until everything boils. Then you can turn the stove down to low and let the mixture simmer for about four minutes, stirring constantly. The mass should take on a thick, gelatinous consistency.

Then press the whole thing through a fine sieve, preferably with a spoon, and let the drained gel cool down completely.

It’s unscented, but you can add a few drops of scented oil to your liking. The gel will keep in the fridge for a week or two.

Use Linseed Gel Correctly

The flaxseed gel is an all-purpose weapon for every hair type, whether curly or straight, entire, fine, dry or greasy hair; every hair and every structure benefit from this nutrient pack.

With its slightly oily texture, the gel is kneaded directly into damp hair after washing. A little more gel is needed for dry hair than for normal hair.

Let the gel work for a few minutes, and then comb it out carefully. Then you let your hair dry completely; the gel is not washed out. The care effect will be visible and noticeable.

If you got too much gel, your hair would stiffen up a bit as it dries. But this is no problem. First, you comb your hair carefully again, and then you massage a few drops of hair oil, or olive oil if necessary, evenly into the tips – this prevents further hardening.

When everything is evenly dry, you comb through again carefully and thoroughly – have fun with shiny, beautiful and healthy hair.
